Where: Nanoscience Lecture Theatre 4002 (Messel)

Info on being successful as a Postgraduate student

Your Orientation begins with the Postgraduate Information Session, where you’ll hear from experts across the Faculty on how you can be successful on a postgraduate level during your study in the Arts and Social Sciences. We’ll discuss everything you need to know about commencing your study, understanding your course and accessing the academic, professional and personal opportunities available to Arts and Social Sciences postgraduate students. You’ll also go on a guided tour of the Postgraduate Quarter, your dedicated postgraduate study and community space.

You’ll be prepared for your studies by:
- Gaining knowledge about studying at a postgraduate level in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
- Learning about the resources available to help you succeed as a postgraduate student
- Finding out about the academic, professional and personal opportunities available to you

Following the Postgraduate Information Session, you will join us for the Postgraduate Welcome Reception, a formal social occasion held in our historic Great Hall in the Quadrangle.

Registration is now closed. If you would still like to attend, please feel welcome to do so.

Please note, for students who are unable to attend Welcome Week, we also offer an intensive catch-up orientation program during Week 1 called Welcome at Dusk.
