Settling in to Sydney, making friends, advice and skills for success

Moving to a new country for university brings unique experiences, challenges and opportunities.

First year international students are invited to attend our International Student Workshops, which are created by your International Student Leaders in partnership with staff in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

At each workshop we’ll be sharing advice about settling in to a new country, understanding how university works in Australia, making friends, developing your career and achieving academic success.

You’ll learn directly from expert staff and senior international students who have been in your situation and know exactly what challenges you'll experience in your first year, as well as what opportunities will come your way.
