Redfern station is the closest to Camperdown/Darlington Campus, just a 10-15 minute walk away (with plenty of cafes along the way).

Remember, you’ll need an Opal Card to travel.

Cycle Back to top

The University has more than 800 bike racks across main campus, so pedal power is a great option. There are plenty of cycle paths around the University as well as water bottle filling stations to replenish.

Parking Back to top

We recommend you make use of public transport to travel to campus as parking options are very limited. Most car spaces on our campuses are for permit-holders only, but there are casual parking spaces available at the Shepherd St carpark that cost up to $24 for the day. Note these fill up very quickly.

Timed street parking is available along Darlington Rd and surrounding areas, including Redfern and Newtown. These areas are best for visitors of the Darlington Campus. There is also parking along Parramatta Road between 10am – 2pm for Camperdown Campus students. At all other times this is a clear way. Please check parking signs to avoid fines.

Health Sciences – Cumberland Campus

Located at 75 East Street, Lidcombe, our Cumberland Campus is 16 kilometres west of the city centre and is where most Health Sciences welcome events are held.

Lidcombe is the closest train station. It is a 20-30 minute walk to the campus.

We recommend taking the M92 bus service from Lidcombe station that runs every 10-15 minutes from Monday to Friday.

A free after-hours shuttle bus operates every 20 minutes from 5.30pm – 9.30pm weekdays from E Block to Lidcombe station during semester.

There are convenient bus stops along East Street near Gate 1 and Gate 2. Use the campus map to locate the closest bus stop to your destination.
